International Business Brokers to gather in Orlando
(Independence, OH / Orlando, FL – November 14, 2018) With business sales reaching record numbers, and today’s political world having a greater impact than ever on businesses, Business Brokers – the professionals who aid in the buying and selling of businesses – will gather in Orlando, Florida, May 10-11, 2019, to discuss market trends and technologies that will shape their future.
The Big Ideas Event: Embracing Change on Main Street, is the theme of this year’s International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) annual conference and will feature a wide variety of presentations from some of the top speakers in the business brokerage industry. It all takes place at the Rosen Shingle Creek golf and spa resort in Orlando.
“We strive to provide attendees with thought-provoking and educational opportunities that will keep them on top of industry trends, help them improve their businesses and help their clients successfully sell their businesses,” said Kylene Golubski, Executive Director of IBBA.
The conference keynote is best-selling author Jim Harris, a respected thought leader and change management consultant. He will speak about the power of disruptive innovation and the future trends likely to impact Business Brokers and their clients in the near future. Harris works with leading business and Fortune 500 companies and recently finished a global consulting contract with IBM. He’s written several books including the most recent, Blindsided! which is a #1 international bestseller.
There will also be nearly 30 workshops, mastermind sessions, a Main Street Marketplace, networking receptions as well as an offering of IBBA courses for continuing education credit towards the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation.
The IBBA Member Excellence Awards will also be a part of the annual conference. The awards recognize members’ transaction performance for the prior calendar year, including categories such as Top Deal Maker and Closing of the Year. “There’s a lot taking place in just a few days,” said Golubski. “But, for business brokers around the world, this is their annual opportunity to get a wealth of insight and training in one place, in one weekend and learn from the leaders in our industry. It’s time well spent.”
