Co-founder of #1 Business Radio Talk Show to Speak at IBBA Conference

Registration opens for International Business Brokers Association annual conference

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 19, 2018
(Independence, OH / New Orleans, LA) Dealmaker and business influencer Ken Rutkowski will be the keynote speaker for the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) annual conference May 4-6 in New Orleans. His presentation, “It’s Time to Stop Networking,” will look at how social media is drastically changing historic best practices and equip brokers on how to respond.

Rutkowski draws from the knowledge gained as the co-founder of “Business Rockstars,” the top-rated business radio talk show in America. He has interviewed more than 10,000 business leaders globally and will share lessons learned and the megatrends shaping the future of business and consumer behavior.

“We’re excited to have an industry expert share what he’s learned after interviewing so many global business titans,” said Kylene Golubski, Executive Director of IBBA. “Social media is definitely changing the landscape of business and his insight will be invaluable.”

Keeping in tune with its location, the IBBA conference theme is “All Jazzed Up” and is designed to provide IBBA members and non-members the opportunity to participate in more than 20 educational seminars and workshops delivered by leading industry professionals. Attendees will also have opportunities to connect with their peers to discuss industry best practices and share tips for helping their clients sell or buy businesses.

“With mergers and acquisitions trending upward as business owners seek to retire, it’s a crucial time for business brokers to invest in their education and skills,” said Golubski. “It’s also a great opportunity for members to earn credits towards IBBA’s esteemed Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation.” Eight courses will be offered after the conference concludes on Sunday afternoon, May 6, and all-day Monday, May 7, for members to earn CBI credits.

In addition, the industry’s elite practitioners and their successes from the past year will be recognized at the conference during the Member Awards Dinner Gala, sponsored by First Home Bank. To be recognized, IBBA members need to submit a nomination by February 28. Conference early bird registration also ends February 28. For more details and to register, visit the IBBA website.
