IBBA Announces New Directors for 2018

(Independence, OH) The International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) today announced the results of its 2018 Board of Directors elections, and is pleased to welcome Randy Bring (FL), Matt Cobb (NC) and Steve Mariani (NC) to the Board. Additionally, Steve Wain (NJ) has been elected Chair of the association’s President’s Advisory Council, succeeding Ron Johnson (CA) who has served the maximum term for the position.

 

2018 ibba directors“We had a truly outstanding ballot,” stated Louis Vescio, 2017 IBBA Chair of the Board.  “All of our director candidates were exceptional, experienced people with a passion for this profession.  Hats-off and many thanks to our Nominating Committee for assembling such a fine group.”

Directors are elected by membership vote and each holds a three-year term.  The new directors will begin their terms effective January 1, 2018.  They will be filling the vacancies left by Scott Bushkie (2016 Chair), Andrew Cagnetta and Glorianne Campbell.

“On behalf of the IBBA Board and its members, I want to thank Scott, Andrew, Glorianne and Ron for their many contributions over the years,” stated Warren Burkholder, 2018 IBBA Chair-Elect.  “You are definitely irreplaceable.  But I am confident our new directors will also be strong leaders for the growth and betterment of our industry.”

The IBBA Board will convene on October 21, 2017 to vote on the organization’s Officials for 2018, consisting of Treasurer/Chair-Elect, Secretary, Vice Chair of Education and Vice Chair of Membership.   The Officials will be publicly announced the following week.  A complete list of current directors may be found here.
