(INDEPENDENCE, OHIO – November 1, 2018)–The International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) is pleased to welcome new Board member, Kyle Griffith (NY), and second term member, Lisa Riley (AZ), to its 2019 Board of Governors. The Board also unanimously approved current Education Chair, Barry Berkowitz, as the 2020 Chair of the Board.

“We had another amazing ballot this year and I thank every candidate for their willingness to serve and lead the IBBA,” stated Warren Burkholder, 2018 IBBA Chair of the Board. “Barry, Lisa and Kyle have contributed their time and talent in so many ways over the years, and the organization is in good hands with them at the helm.”
Board members are elected by membership vote and each holds a three-year term, with a maximum service of two sequential terms. The newly elected Board members will begin their terms effective January 1, 2019. Riley qualified and was re-elected for a second term and Griffith fills the vacancy left by Lou Vescio, 2017 Chairman, who will now serve on the President’s Advisory Council.
“The IBBA Board made the right decision in selecting Barry for the 2020 Chair role,” continued Burkholder. “Few people match his passion and level of involvement, and I know he will make exciting things happen for the IBBA as we strive for 2020 members by the end of 2020.” The IBBA Nominating Committee presents the Chair recommendation for Board approval each year and Chairs serve a one-year term.
