IBBA Education Steering Commitee

The Education Steering Committee is responsible for the following:

• Oversee all activities of the Education Committee
• Schedule Courses at each conferences
• Select and assign instructors for the IBBA University program
• Oversees Curriculum of IBBA University
• Oversee requirements and approval of all certification
• Responsible for all aspects of course and certification exams
• Evaluate current courses and suggest development of new courses

Duties of the Committee Chair

• Attend all meetings of the committee
• Prepare for committee meetings by preparing and reviewing the agenda and researching issues to be discussed at the meeting in accordance with the Committee Charter
• Actively participate in discussion at the meeting
• Follow through promptly on any assignments for the Committee
• Support committee recommendations before the Chairman and the full board
• Prepare a written report for the Board of the Committees activities and recommendations
• Work with the Vice Chair to evaluate its own operations and action items
• Keep the member subcommittee(s) (if any) on focus
• Communicate to Committee members, affiliates and other interested parties
• With the assistance of staff, record minutes of each meeting and publish same after each committee meeting
• Assist Vice Chairman and staff with follow-up or assignments of subcommittees and working groups
• Attend other meetings when requested by the chair as the representative of the Committee and the Association
• Other duties as they may be needed
