Advanced Balance Sheet Recasting


This advanced course is designed for experienced business brokers who want to hone their skill to generate an accurate and defensible broker opinion of value for complex businesses. You’ll significantly improve your balance sheet recasting skills by exploring actual company examples in an engaging case study experience with your peers, addressing accounts receivable and inventory issues, fixed assets issues, and debt. If the Income Statement sets the expectations of price, the Balance Sheet sets the terms of the deal. Understanding the Balance Sheet will help you determine the probability of a deal closing, the financing options or lack thereof, transaction structure, the closing Balance Sheet, and ultimately the after-tax proceeds to the seller. You will take away an understanding of the Balance Sheet and how to navigate the deal points that will lead to more successful closings.

The prerequisite for this course is the completion of course #210 or experience in recasting basic financial statements.
