25 Professionals Join The Certified Business Intermediary Ranks

January 7, 2017 – INDEPENDENCE, OH – The International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) has granted the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) certification for use to an additional 25 members of the IBBA. The use of the certification comes after the 25 individuals completed the required course work and passed the required exam at the IBBA 2016 Fall Conference in Phoenix, Arizona last November.

“The number of CBIs continues to grow as business brokers realize the importance of demonstrating a commitment to excellence in this profession,” stated Louis Vescio, 2017 Chair of the IBBA Board. “I congratulate all our new CBIs on their hard work and welcome them to this elite community.”

To gain the CBI certification, one must be an active member of the IBBA with three or more years of business brokerage experience, or a college degree and one year of business brokerage experience. One must also attend an IBBA Conference, complete 68 credit hours of IBBA educational courses, and pass a comprehensive exam.

“The CBI is a clear indicator of knowledge, experience, excellence and ethics, and we encourage business sellers and buyers to look for the CBI designation when selecting a business broker to work with,” added Vescio.
