Leveraging his highly competitive nature, his firm focuses on coaching and training sales teams to turn them into top performers. Schlackman uses his experience to coach companies in how to “oust” the entrenched competition and overcome sales adversity. From getting in the door to closing the deal, he teaches everyone from the novice sales person to veteran sales executive what it takes to compete and succeed in sales today. Schlackman is expert at identifying the buying preferences of individuals based on their personality style and teaches others how to master this skill.
As the author of Don’t Just Stand There, Sell Something, Schlackman imparts wisdom, sales techniques and practical advice for corporate executives, sales professionals, corporate trainers and others who want to compete and win in business and in life. In addition to sales coaching, he has developed a masters level sales training course for the University of Texas at Dallas, currently used by students in its business program.

Phil Wilkins is a speaker, consultant and the author of Own Your Business, Own Your Life!. Phil owns three businesses including a training and consulting organization, Rising Star, Inc., which owns four McDonald’s® restaurants, and PJK Holdings, a real estate investment company. Wilkins graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1986 and began working for Procter & Gamble as a Manager in the Finance and Accounting Division. In 1988, he left Procter & Gamble and began working for Baxter Healthcare, where he was an award-winning sales professional, trainer and manager.
Wilkins was named the Kentucky “Small Business Person of the Year” (Runner-Up) in 2004 by the Small Business Administration, “Minority Business of the Year” by Commerce Lexington and has been quoted or featured in the Atlanta Tribune, QSR Magazine, Registered Rep magazine, Washington Post and the NY Times.
As a speaker and lecturer, he presents to corporations and professional organizations on topics such as client acquisition. Currently, Wilkins sits on the Board of Directors for Fifth Third Bank of Central Kentucky and the Kentucky Minority Business Council. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the National Black McDonald’s Operators Association, working hand-in-hand with McDonald’s corporate leadership on diversity related initiatives.
