Fall 2008 Call for Presentations

The IBBA – M&A Source Fall 2008 Joint Conference for Professional Development is being held November 16-22, in Louisville, Kentucky. This highly-regarded event provides best practices and user-driven training to the greater Business Brokerage community and we want you to be a part of it!

Presenting an IBBA workshop on November 21 or November 22, during the Fall 2008 Joint Conference, is the perfect opportunity for you to solidify your reputation as an industry expert! As a speaker, you will share your knowledge, experiences, challenges and fresh approaches with close to 100 attendees. You will enjoy the recognition that comes with being a presenter, enrich your own knowledge through teaching others and be recognized as the “go-to” person in the Business Brokerage community.

The IBBA welcomes new and seasoned presenters alike. To be considered, you must submit your complete abstract for a 60-minute or 90-minute workshop via the online form below before Friday, May 16, 2008. If chosen, you will receive a complimentary registration to the entire IBBA – M&A Source Fall 2008 Joint Conference for Professional Development, November 16-22, 2008. We hope you consider becoming an IBBA workshop presenter and taking advantage of this unique opportunity.

IBBA Committee Overviews

Public Relations Committee
The mission of the IBBA Public Relations Committee is to raise the awareness of IBBA in the business brokerage profession and to maintain and supply a steady flow of the IBBA communications to the membership.

Newsletter Committee
The mission of the IBBA Newsletter Committee is to foster the professional development and advancement of IBBA members, inform members of Association activities, and promote the Association and the profession to target audiences.

Conference Committee
The mission of the IBBA Conference Committee is to produce two conferences per year. The conferences will offer the forum for educational programming, certification recognition, industry networking and trade show events for the industry.

Education Committee
The mission of the IBBA Education Committee is to update the current IBBA courses that are offered at the bi-annual conferences and to local and regional affiliate groups. The Committe also creats and develops new IBBA courses to meet the professional development and educational demands of the members.

M&A Source Committee
The mission of the IBBA M&A Source Committee is to provide M&A Source members the opportunity to better leverage their time and talents. This committee also provides the deals database, surveys, hosting semi-annual conferences with expos, networking, and up-to-date educational sessions.

Membership Committee
The mission of the IBBA Membership Committee is to maintain and recruit membership in the IBBA. This is done by constantly evaluating the programs and services offered by the association and by informing non member business brokers of the value of IBBA membership.

Governmental Relations Committee
The mission of the Governmental Relations Committee is to keep members informed on legislative issues affecting the profession and to provide members a means by which they can address potential legislation collectively.

Technology Committee
The mission of the Technology Committee is to provide a website for the IBBA and the M&A Source. The committee maintains and updates the site on a regular basis to further enhance the members' opportunity to communicate within the membership as well a provide a means of communication with the public.

International Committee
The mission of the International Committee is to strengthen relationships with business brokers throughout the world. The International Committee strives to bring the educational programs, professional designations and networking opportunities to business brokers worldwide.
